DIY Print Hanger

If you know me you know I like making stuff you could easily buy. So here's my latest late night project.

Not to long ago I was scrolling through Urban Outfitters looking at their home decor when I saw this adorable little photo print hanger. Only prob was that it cost $30, just for the two pieces of wood. I don't know about you but I'm ballin on a budget so I decided to make it myself instead. Here's how I did it!

Step 1:
To get started you're going to need to grab a poster, two pieces of plywood, a hot glue gun, command hooks (not pictured) and fishing wire (not pictured)

1. Plywood - $6 (cut at about a half inch thick)
*if you buy it from a home depot / Lowes
        they'll cut it for free!

2. Hot glue gun - honestly don't remember I've had
    this guy for forever
       * but if you're a normal person w/o random
DIY supplies here's a link to a cheap one

3. clear cord -  $4.95
       *wire or string works too!

4. Command Hooks - $4.00
       * I highly recommend grabbing these from
          amazon.

Step 2:
I tried really hard to get a picture of this step but it didn't work out so I'll try my best to explain it. Basically what you're going to do is put a strip of hot glue on one side of the plywood and stick the pieces onto the top and bottom of the poster.

Step 3:
Ok so this next part is really up to you. If you want to hang the poster on the wall all you have to do is flip it over (so the wood is facing the floor) and hot glue your string to each corner. If you don't want to use any string you can just attach command strips to the back instead.

Step 4:
The last step is to put it on the wall! I used a command hook to hang mine over my desk/vanity area and I have to say it looks pretty dang cute. Overall this DIY took me about 20 min (with breaks to take pictures of the steps). Easy, cheap, and fun. I def recommend.

Until next time
