"You smell good" = the easiest way to make my day
It all started with a bottle of the "So Pink" perfume from Gap. I couldn't have been much older than ten when I got it, and I can still remember the excitement of finally having my own "signature scent." After years of coming downstairs, ready for school, but smelling like my mothers perfumes, she finally caved. Then one fateful weekend she took me to the Gap Factory, grabbed the bottle, and said "here, this one doesn't smell too adult."
For the next to years, my elementary school halls smelled like a blend of roses and grapefruit. I wore it everyday, and my obsession with perfume never ended. Now my shelves are cluttered with my collection (pictured above), and I'm always on the hunt for something new. Below I've curated a list of my favorite scents thus far!
1. Jo Malone

Ginger Biscuit - ($136 / 3.4 oz)
★★★★★
This is currently my daily go-to scent. It's smells like Christmas cookies but still has an adult edge to it. Honestly everything I've tried from Jo Malone has been lovely. Their perfumes are very expensive but definitely worth the price!
2. Replica

By The Fireplace - $28 (rollerball /.34 oz)
★★★★☆
I absolutely loveee this scent. It's spicy and warm and genuinely smells like fire but in a good way. Think Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works but better. The only reason why I'd give it a 4/5 is because its very spicy and can sometimes a bit overpowering. However, I think it smells best when mixed with something a bit softer. Either way, I always get compliments when I wear this one out.
3. Zara

Nude Bouquet - ($5.90 / .34 oz)
★★★★★
This stuff is absolutely amazing! I got the rollerball a few weeks ago and still cant get over how good it smells. This perfume has a very fresh floral scent. It's feminine without being too powdery and has great lasting power. It's also the least expensive of the bunch. A full bottle is only $25!
4. Viktor & Rolf

Flower Bomb - ($85 / 1 oz)
★★★★★
Before getting Ginger Biscuit this was my favorite perfume. If you like gourmand scents you'll probably love this one! It's a bit more spicy than sweet but is warmer on the skin than it is in the bottle. This one tends to smell great on everyone, so give it a try if you're looking for something new!
5. Marc JacobsVery Hollywood - ($34 / 3.4 oz)
★★★☆☆
I got this on sale last year and ended up wearing it all Spring. It's a well balanced mix between fruity and floral, that smells very clean and comforting. Though I do still reach for this every once
and a while, I have to give it 3 stars for its poor staying power.
6. Urban Outfitters

Petal Multi-Use Oil - Forget Me Not - ($28)
★★★★★
Last but not least is this beauty. This is not a perfume, but the oil works in a similar way. The only way I can describe this scent is warm. It doesn't seem to have any distinct notes but really melts into the skin and makes your clothes smell amazing!
